KALE is turkish for IHOP

what up! today was pretty much amazing. Me, my international baller roomate aka Jeremy, and Nick went out to breakfast/lunch with a bunch of the turkish girls today..Ferdag, Sezin, Bihter, Sumru, and Asli are their names. yeah, I struggled / still struggle with the names. Oh, and a couple Germans also, Christopher and Tina (easy enough). Everybody is so cool and fun to be around, and everyone speaks english well.

so we went to this breakfast joint called Kale that overlooks the Bosphorus river. Really nice little building, amazing view. They serve breakfast all day here, so naturally we just ordered "breakfast". With that one magical word, the delivered a little drip of nectar from heaven. We had fresh tomato, cucumber (amazing), couple different cheeses, bread, tortilla things, this stuff called kymak (butter/cream cheese smothered in honey), menemen (those amazing omelette things), fresh orange juice, hot tea, turkish coffee, and my favorite of all.....borek pacanga. Words cannot describe this borek pacanga. nothing short of bliss wrapped in a flakey pastry.

spent the rest of today doing some work for my Wednesday class, and just chillin out. Its official. I am obsessed with eating cereal, more specifically Nesquik cereal. I just wanna give a big thank to my roomate, Adderly, for re-introducing me to cereal. I haven't eaten it on a regular basis since my childhood. Is it bad that I go to sleep excited about waking up and eating cereal hahahaha. IT IS SO AMAZING. ok, that is all I have to say about that.

love peace and grungey hair grease

  2. You've got nothing on my cereal eating! I go through a gallon of milk and at least 2 boxes of cereal a week!! It's the perfect food, sweet and satisfying and easy to make!
