62 degrees

so, as you can see in my previous posts, I was rockin shorts just a few days ago. The cold has returned once again. I'm thinkin...dang it is now April, it should be warm! I looked on weather.com to see when it will be getting warm again, and apparently the average high in Istanbul for the entire month of April is 62 degrees. Yup, 62. Horribly depressing.

I wanna give a quick shoutout to my sis! Moving to Chicago at the end of the summer for pharm school! congrats, you def earned that. Oh, and see if you can get a place with a decent sized guest room...and a its own bathroom. I plan on frequenting your place hehe, so I need certain accomodations :) jk

aunt donna, I hope everything is going well for you. I gotta be honest, I am a little out of the loop and I'm not sure what all you are getting checked out, but its all good for ya. You are def my number one comment maker, and I cant afford to lose ya! I mean, no one else comments anymore, so I might change the name to "MEAT & DONNA = TURKEY" whaddya think??

I thought about pulling some kind of April fools joke on my family, but I figured that could potentially be a horrible idea haha. So, I'll let ya off the hook this year. Expect near year to be double doom.

gotta go! love peace and excessively cold weather for an excessively long period grease

  1. Well I didn't know there was a contest on who could comment the most! And I've been writing on facebook too, does that count?

Sorry about the crappy weather... we're in for a big shock for the cold weather in Chicago, but I'm stoked about it! And of course we'll offer a place for you to stay!

  2. You aren't coming to stay! You are coming to work on your internship!!! Brent and I will be some crazy home bodies and it would be awesome to have you there with us!!!!! I'm getting excited about moving but it hurts my bones to think about how cold it's going to be. FYI the average high for Chicago in April is 59. ouch.

  3. I agree, Donna is the highest comment poster. I thingk she deserves a shop crop prize again. We all enjoyed the last one so much! Like you Chad, I'm very proud of Lindy. She's gonna rock the house Chicago style! I'm a proud parent of some very smart kids!

  7. Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day
You fritter and waste the hours in an off hand way
Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town
Waiting for someone or something to show you the way

Tired of lying in the sunshine staying home to watch the rain
You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun

And you run and you run to catch up with the sun, but its sinking
And racing around to come up behind you again
The sun is the same in the relative way, but youre older
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death

Every year is getting shorter, never seem to find the time
Plans that either come to naught or half a page of scribbled lines
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the american way
The time is gone, the poem is over, thought Id something more to say
