istiyorum bir su

^ I want one water... heck yeah I'm speaking turkish. Quickly picking up simple phrases that I need to use everyday. I still need to learn "I will punch you in the face".

This morning I went on a bus tour around istanbul (where all the pics came from). I def felt like a mega tourist, but not as bad as the asian guy up front that took about 5 billion pictures. I still am blown away at how densely packed it is here. Its pretty easy to get around, there is a main road that goes most the way through the city and I live a couple blocks away from it. There is even a 7-11 a few blocks away! I haven't been in there, but if they dont have any slurpees I'm gonna cry.

I had some really good food today, cheap too. My breakfast was 2.50 lira ( about $1.54 US dollars) and I had a bottle water, a cheese lettuce tomato sandwich, and a orange.

Errbody should add me on Skype, my name is 'auburnmeat'. Hit me up sometime, I can talk on my iphone as long as I have wifi. As far as the whole video blog, its gonna have to wait cause I just can't keep an internet connection long enough to upload a video. So, I'm gonna have to wait until they fix the wifi at my place, or wait until Feb 2 when I start school to upload videos. Sorry

I'm feeling pretty good as far as jetlag is concerned. I was up for about 32 hours straight yesterday, but I got a solid 8 of sleep last night. Check out the pics below, many more to come! love peace and hair grease, see ya guys

  1. WOW it took me awile, but I think there is a tree in the first picture. What is the code in inches for the building setbacks? And the Rossi bike.... if I need fur hand grip cover thingies, then it is much too cold for a ride. Why do all the structures have about ten pizza pans on the roof?

  2. Were the turkish classes beneficial at all, or do you think that it was pretty much a waste of time until you got over there?

I'll definitely add you to skype once my laptop gets back up to 100% (got a nasty case of the spywares, then my hard drive died).

"Stop, dur" was hilarious, and the sign in the background looks like it reads "Transit Yo!". Equally funny. Love the blog, I'll have to set one up for Rome. We can video blog back and forth to each other!

  3. Love the stop sign...dur! Glad you made it ok. I tried to call you before you left but I guess you had already turned off your phone. So the next time you get service you'll have a message from me...haha. All the ladies I work with love the photos and can't wait to see the videos once you get those working. I'm sure you're having an awesome time! Did you meet your Swedish roomies yet? Are they Vikings?? I'll be watching for your next blog!
